Nestled within an ancient valley carved by glaciers, the Wild Basin Lodge & Event Center lies at the entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park. Situated at 8,300 ft., the lodge affords the quintessential mountain experience in luxurious comfort. The large reception rooms comfortably accommodate moderate to large sized groups. Handcrafted wood and stone craftsmanship creates an air of casual elegance throughout the lodge. The St. Vrain room features an authentic Irish Pub with stained glass that adds a truly unique atmosphere to any event while the Copeland room’s bar contains pillars of goblin pine, imported from the Pacific Nortwest.  Both rooms include large spacious dance floors and are accessible to those with physical disabilities. Complementing the interior, the Wild Basin Lodge and Event Center offers two wonderful mountain settings for wedding ceremonies, receptions and civil unions. Whether by the rushing banks of the St. Vrain River or in an aspen grove ringed by majestic peaks, each site comprises a truly unique setting.

Nationally acclaimed as one of the best Event Centers in the region, The Wild Basin Lodge and Event Center understands that no two weddings are alike. With over a decade of experience specifically in the wedding industry, the lodge books only one wedding a day, and spends an average of one year working with brides and grooms customizing every aspect of their special day. Closed to the general public and focused exclusively on weddings and events, the Wild Basin Lodge and Event Center utilizes experience gained over a decade and continues to be a pioneer in its industry. A leader in ‘green’ practices, the lodge has a published green statement, routine energy audits and a policy of using only organic ingredients whenever possible. Permanent wedding planners and an engineering level of attention to detail have resulted in numerous accolades – including being the first Colorado event center to garner ‘The Knot’s’ Hall of Fame Award. This focus and depth of knowledge allows the lodge to provide services beyond what others offer.

Cuisine also remains a key focus for each event. The Wild Basin Lodge and Event Center recognizes that food tastes best when freshly prepared from the finest ingredients. Not depending on outside catering affords flexibility  and cost benefits, ensuring that the freshest food is made to order moments before dining.

Wedding Packages

Elopement Package

  • Choice of outdoor wedding site for one hour for ceremony and pictures
  • Chairs, linens and tables for your ceremony and reception
  • Rehearsal coordination and walkthrough
  • Three hour reception on either the St. Vrain or Copeland level w/events in peak season ending at 10:30pm and off season at 9:30pm (no extensions)
  • All staff including Bridal Coordinator, Bartender(s) and wait and bus staff
  • Crystal, silver and china
  • Gift and guest book tables
  • Cake cutting table and service
  • Complimentary champagne/sparkling cider toast
  • Choice of two classic appetizers
  • Classic salad served with a choice of dressing

Classic Package

  • Choice of outdoor wedding site for two hours for ceremony and pictures
  • Chairs, linens and tables for your ceremony and reception
  • Rehearsal coordination and walkthrough
  • Two hours decorating time prior to your event
  • Six hour reception of either the St. Vrain or Copeland level w/events in peak season ending at 10:30pm and off season at 9:30pm
  • Room configuration and setup provided
  • All staff for the event including banquet captain, wait and bus staff, bartenders and bridal coordinator
  • Crystal, silver and china
  • Gift and guest book tables
  • Complimentary champagne/sparkling cider toast
  • Choice of two classic appetizers for one full hour
  • Classic salad service with a choice of dressing
  • Choice of two classic entrées for family-style, plated, dual plated or buffet service

  • Two hours of event coordination consultation
  • Private appetizer platter for bride and groom after ceremony pictures
  • If staying overnight at the lodge, bride and groom will be provided additional food in room following the reception

  • Floral package from one of the lodge’s preferred florists which includes flowers for the bride and groom

  • Choice of one enhanced appetizer (in addition to one classic appetizer)

Lodging

 

Five spacious handcrafted rooms, two of which are suites, provide luxury and comfort for event guests. Three standard include a queen bed, private bathrooms, twin sleepers, satellite television with premium programming and wireless high-speed Internet access. Overlooking the St. Vrain River, the large, semi-private balcony offers stunning views and a quiet place to enjoy a moment’s repose. The queen suite, ideal for large families,has two bathrooms, a day bed, and a twin sleeper.

For the ultimate in comfort, the lodge’s King Suite has a private balcony overlooking the river and Mount Copeland. A king size bed, Jacuzzi tub, large shower and generous entry room make for a truly memorable night’s stay.

Activities

Guests of The Wild Basin Lodge & Event Center will find something for everyone. The Rocky Mountain National Park sits adjacent to the property and offers unparalleled outdoor recreation. Fishing is but steps away on the St. Vrain River, or at Copeland Lake up the road. Short hikes lead to Calypso Cascades, Ouzel Falls, Bluebird and Thunder Lakes.

Horseback riding for an hour up to all day is available at the Wild Basin’s stables or one of the many fine stables in the area. These rides will lead you through some of the most spectacular scenery Colorado has to offer.

Winter brings its own activities, as the Wild Basin area of Rocky Mountain National Park has some of the best cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the Rockies. For the extreme adventurer, the falls in the area are popular climbing attractions, and draw many people each year. For the downhill skier, major downhill resorts are only 45 minutes away by car.

Regardless of season, the Wild Basin Lodge and Event Center offers some of the best wildlife viewing in the Rockies. It’s common to see elk, bighorn sheep, deer, bear, bobcat, coyote and many other animals in the vicinity of the lodge. The truly lucky will catch glimpses of moose or mountain lion that infrequently pass through the area.
